WHAT I DO?


In the morning I went to the fountains to brought water for my grandmother with a battel because my grandmother love's this water.


I go by bike to the next village  with my friends and with my mother and sometimes with my father.


 



After I eat and then I go to the house of my friends and we are going to play in the front wall, we are going to skate, play football, ping-pong, basketball, tennis, bicycle...





 At the night I go with my friends to the square and we play to many things until one in the morning.
I love Yela.

HABITANTS




In winter, there are two habitants, Pepe and Alvaro. They live in Yela beacause they haven't other house in other village.







In summer, there are around one hundred habitants, mainly childrens and old persons.















In summer there is a bar, only in summer but is only open at the weekend.
There isn´t shops.




 

MY FAMILY





 

All the family of my mother except my mother are from Yela.
They are four: Javier, Teresa, Pablo  and my mother is called Elena.


My grandfather, Paco, was an excelent farmer and my mother when she was ten years old she drave his father´s tractor.





 
My grandmother, Andrea, tooks care of the chicken, went to the fountains to take water and she went to the wash-house to clean the clothes.

ALL MONUMENTS





THE CHURCH

The name of the church is San Gervasio and San Protasio. It was built in S. XIII a.d.

It's one of the monuments more important of the province.

It's Romanesque  and has many arches.The bells sound in all the village.



THE SQUARE



In the past the square had a tree called "Olma", the tree had two meters of diameter.

In this square, at the night, all the children go to play to many things.

In the Yela's party all the people go to dance here.




THE CLOCK


It´s  the tower of the ancient townhall. The tower is kept but the townhall was raze.

It's 100 years old and now points the hours exactly like in the square of Sol in Madrid.






FOUNTAINS

The village has many fountains.  The more important are:

  • Three pipes. It's the biggest
  • Sant Roque
  • Pozon
  • Sauco
  • Louse
  • Juliana
  • Tadpoles
  • Wash house














The water is so clean and good, and is useful for many products, like a :


  • vegetables garden: tomato, potato, pepper , cucumber, carrot, lettuce...
  • fruit trees:apple, pear, plum...
  • honey

A long time ago, all the people went to the oven to make the bread, but now the people go for the celebrations.
The next summer, my family will go to celebrate the birthday of my cousin.





FRONT WALL


 
The front wall is the place that all the children go to play football, tennis, rolling, ping-pong, basket, bike,...





OTHER MONUMENTS





ROCK

It´s the place for the people to take a walk.
Throught there you can see a good landscape.





THRESHING GROUND

My grandfather was an excelent farmer, that left the cereals in the threshing ground for sold to the Mahou Beer factory.

Also, the children go there to play baseball.
